Moving Rates

Many people who move for the first time wonder exactly how movers charge for their services. Here's an overview of the moving rates at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Boise.
Local Moves
For local moves, we offer all-inclusive hourly pricing. This pricing is simply based on an hourly rate, which includes everything the movers will need, such as the truck, pads, dollies, straps etc. There are no deductibles on our coverages.
Packing
Packing is billed at an hourly rate. We have all the boxes and materials needed to pack an entire home or business. We can pack as much or as little as you need. All items that we pack are insured by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Boise. All items that are packed on your own are not covered.
Load or Unload Only
If you are renting your own truck but need help either loading or unloading, we can provide that service for you as well. Loading and unloading services are billed at an hourly rate. You are responsible for providing adequate straps, pads etc.; we can sell these items if you need to buy them.
Long-Distance Moves
For long-distance moves, anything outside of Idaho, we charge a flat rate. It is a price that will not fluctuate. Other companies may give you an estimate based on weight and distance. Then, after they load the items on the truck, they go over a scale and determine the “actual” weight. This is when you hear the horror stories about the price doubling at the unload. For example, let's say it's estimated that you have 5,000 lbs on the truck, but you find out once it's weighed that it's actually 8,500 lbs. When this happens, the charges go up. To avoid this, we give you an exact price on what it will cost to get from point A to point B – regardless of weight.
Now that you know how our pricing works, find out how much it would cost to make your move easier.
